Employee Highlight: Stephan Bliggenstorfer
This month we are continuing with our employee highlight section and would like to present you Stephan Bliggenstorfer – our Continuing Airworthiness Manager!
Q: What did you do before working at AMROS?
Before AMROS, I worked 19 years for SR Technics in the engine department and then transferred to fleet and technical management. Growing up, my parents worked for SWISSAIR, so I think it was in my blood to work in the aviation industry.
Q: How long have you been working at AMROS?
I have been working for AMROS since February 2018, where I started working on phase-in projects and on-site support. From June 2018 and on, I have been responsible for CAMO activities.
Q: How has AMROS helped your career development?
For me, it has been the opportunity to come close to the aircraft operation because before I was at the end of the line so to speak. Now, I’m more involved with the operational processes which I enjoy much more.
Q: What is your current position and what does it entail?
I have been working as Continuing Airworthiness Manager since June 2018. My position consists of updating aircraft statuses, flight hours, planning items, operator regarding checks to carry out, component changes, etc.
Q: Could you give us a ‘Day in the Life’ of your position?
I start off my day with having my first cup of coffee. During this time, I’m entering the Flight Hours / Cycles for our Customers into AMOS and then reading and corresponding my emails. After that, I start preparing the Work packages for the daily work and check-in with our contacts regarding any other important issues. Later, I move on to updating the system with any new requirements while corresponding with the customer simultaneously. Regulations and/or system updates can change from one day to the next, so on some days the system update takes longer than others.
Q: What do you like the most about your job?
What I like the most about my job is that I have the freedom to work flexible. The flexibility in the working day creates a positive working environment.
Q: What is most challenging part of your job?
The most challenging part of my job is to be up to date with all the changes in the airlines industry. As I mentioned before, regulations can change from one day to another whether small or big, which require a system update. Also, it’s important to be up to date with the many aircraft types and what’s going on in the market.
Q: Do you have any advice for anyone who would like to work in your position?
They should bring experience in the aviation industry and have an open mind to learn new things, have flexibility and be prepared to work outside of office hours. When there is an emergency from the client, it requires immediate investigation and sometimes that is out of office hours.
Q: What has been your favorite project since working at AMROS?
I have enjoyed working on various projects since I’ve been working here, but my favorite has been since I took over the CAMO responsibilities for various clients.
Q: What are 3 words you would use to describe AMROS?
I would say AMROS is solution-oriented, familial, and constant.
And now for a little off topic questions to conclude this interview ?
Q: If you could have any other job for one day, what would it be?
That’s easy, I would be an archeologist. I always had a fascination with history and I would love to experience this field of work. My fascination came from knowing you can identify where something came from or trace back the significance in that time in history. I traveled all over Egypt in my youth and found these amazing places to study such as Valley of kings, Luxor, Cairo etc.
Q: If you could have dinner with any person (dead or alive), who would it be?
To be honest, I would choose my friends and family because they are the most important people in my life.
Q: Let’s jump to the last question: Do you have any pet peeves?
My biggest pet peeve would have to be when people are late. In Switzerland, we take pride in being prompt, so it’s not a polite thing when someone is late! ?

Welcome to our Rebranding!
Today is the day!
We are incredibly happy and proud to unveil our new logo.
After many years of being established, we are releasing a new brand identity.
Our new logo is revealed!
When AMROS was established years ago, no one could have predicted how far we would come, along with the many moments and success stories we have behind us. Yet, here we are almost 10 years later, and decided it was time for a new and updated visual change to create a new identity.
Today, we undergo a rebranding transformation to reflect the company’s evolution over the years which includes a top-to-bottom resign of the website, logo, and communications. Striving to maintain our recognizable logo in some way was the primary goal. This was achieved by deconstructing our old logo and modernizing some elements for a fresher look and bold blue color to match.
“We wanted our new logo to represent change, growth and a brighter future… we believe the new look better matches what we’ve evolved into since 2010: Providing the best end-to-end solutions in the market for our clients.” Eros Tavani, CEO, AMROS Global.
All this has been a lot of work and we’re excited to finally share our news with you. Tell us what you think. Do you like what we’ve done so far?
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support. We look forward to serving you with this new branding.
We hope you like this new look and feel for AMROS as much as we do!
Kind regards,
Team AMROS
